Huawei overtakes Samsung as top smartphone seller in Q2: Industry tracker Canalys
BEIJING: China's Huawei has overtaken Samsung to become the number-one smartphone seller worldwide in the second quarter, industry tracker Canalys said Thursday.
Canalys said embattled firm, which is facing US sanctions, shipped 55.8 million devices -- overtaking Samsung for the first time, which shifted 53.7 million units
Well done Huawei. You might go back to 2nd in a few months though.
Samsung was unable to sell s20 series in India because:
1. The whole s20 series were overpriced.
2. Xiaomi, Realme, OnePlus.
Oneplus is better than Samsung
The title shocked me
From a business perspective, China alone as 1 country, has a market of around 1.4 billion consumers so...it's not surprising.
That is why many companies invest heavily in Asia.
Wait, so if samsung didnt suffer from lockdown they would still be #1?
@Layout108 and if trump didn't ban huawei. Huawei would've been the first.
if not for this trade wars..Huawei will be far ahead of Samsung and Apple.. it is just a plot twist
if there was no these lockdown things, huawei would still remained in the second spot. nice play huawei
I'm shocked samsung lost top 1
It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning.
What?! Huawei 1st? Huawei sales would've been even higher if the ban didn't happen
THIS MUST BE A DREAM
Thats only for a short time, let's wait for the 3rd quarter and see who's on top.
But Huawei deserves it, they make absolute best phones
