NEW DELHI: India asked Pakistan on Thursday to adhere to the 2003 ceasefire understanding and not use its violations at Line of Control(LoC) to provide cover for infiltration. The government said there had been over 1,000 violations from the Pakistani side of the 2003 ceasefire agreement between New Delhi and Islamabad in 2018 alone.
"We always taken it very strongly, this matter of unprovoked ceasefire violation with the Pakistani side as it involves loss of life and property," MEA ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said. "In fact, only this year, in 2018, there have been over 1,000 unprovoked ceasefire violations by Pakistan," he said.
Kumar said Pakistan used the ceasefire violation to infiltrate terrorists into India. He said: "We have seen the results of such infiltration in the past. We hope that Pakistan will realise what it is doing and adheres by the 2003 ceasefire agreement between the two countries." India announced a suspension of operations against militants in J&K and a border truce with Pakistan on May 16 for Ramzan. On Tuesday, defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman said forces will honour the Ramzan initiative.

We thougt 56"chest of feku will be difderent in dealing with pakistan but it is making a mess of kashmir and the way it deals with pakistan barring the so called surgical strike has left much to wanting... again too many expectation created by false promises and too little action.

Typical chankia nitti doctrine, Indian forces made over 2000 ceasefire violations in the same period and on other hand crying like toddler. Foreign media has filmed Indian forces violations and soon the real face of India will come.

When ceasefire benefits Pakistan, it adheres to it. When it is inconvenient, Pakistan will unleash their shells in India control side.
